SXSW 2012: Here We Go Again

Hot on the heels of my latest job shift, it’s time to throw on the boots and hat (read: barely-together Chuck Taylors and no hat) and get ready to head down to Austin for South by Southwest. As anyone who knows me can attest, SXSW is one thing that truly gets me excited and after two previous journeys, I can’t wait to get back to the sweet embrace of her indie-hipster loving arms. Yes, I left my heart in Texas on my last trip down there and I can’t help but imagine how wonderful it will be to find us reunited once again.

This year’s adventure will be slightly different than those of yesteryear as I won’t be going with a band, but rather will join Jared for a week’s worth of dates at both SXSWinteractive and SXSWmusic. We’ll also be making our [now-regular] stop in Nashville on the way down. After a valiant effort at comprehensive coverage last year, this year’s trek will be presented in near-real-time through the wonderful power of Spreecast – a social video platform that will allow us to chat live from the car/hotel/Waffle House/street. I’ll continue to document the trip on my blog and we’ll also be adding another interactive element this year – collaborative music playlists on Spotify.
