I’ve just returned home from some light time travel with Silvertide. I am so proud of the band for what they’re making happen right now. There’s amazing stuff on the line, in the works, and on the horizon, and I’m excited to be a part of it and to see where things take them.
An impromptu hardcore show and my iPhone 15 Pro resulted in some of my favorite photos of the year so far.
The inevitable truth has become impossible to ignore: Things are happening. The boys are back in town.
A trip to legendary Ivory Productions studios with singer, songwriter, and musician, Walt Lafty, to track the final song on his forthcoming debut folk rock record, “Torresdale.”
The only thing I love watching more than Nick or Walt performing on stage is when they do it together. The love they have for the craft, for performance, and for each other is always right there, front and center, and it never fails to make me smile.
Amy Faden's music is so deeply personal, and intimate, and candid. I’ve had the incredible fortune - for years - of hearing her bedroom demos; they’ve always felt like someone sharing their diary, all honest love, and uncertain heartbreak. Nothing makes me quite as happy as a chance to hang out at the studio and take photos with a musical soulmate.
Rocknroll enters the age of the quarantine, as our band hits the road on its first ever drive-in shows.
I wrapped up the year with another few weeks spent with The Underground Thieves, preparing for a pair of shows with The Struts performed at The Fillmore Philadelphia on Dec. 28-29.
It’s hard to overemphasize the exciting developments happening with Nick Perri’s current band, The Underground Thieves. I got to join the band for three weeks while they began work on their debut record. These are my words and images from inside the method and the music.
